Monday Night Women's Bible Study

First Presbyterian Church of Lake Alfred will be hosting a Women’s Bible Study to be held on Monday Nights in the Church Library. 

The study will begin Monday, Sept 4th and run through Monday, Oct 30th.

Brown Bag Dinner: 6:00 pm- 6:30 pm

Discussion Time: 6:30 pm – 7:15 pm

Video Session: 7:15 pm – 7:45 pm

The study will feature the workbook and video series by Sheron C. Patterson titled “A Mile in Her Shoes: Lessons from the Lives of Old Testament Women”.

The participant’s study guide can be purchased new or used online.

This is a chance for moms in the Central Florida Community to meet other moms of elementary aged kids.  This will be a mom-only event but we do provide kid care at our other events during the year.  You can drop in or stay the entire time.  We will be having light snacks and having a short program for you to get to know about our mom connection opportunities. Full Plate Living for Weight Loss Begins Thursday, September 7: Are you eating enough to lose weight? Strange as it may sound, most of us are not! This video-based class with Diana Fleming, PhD, and facilitated by Amanda Martin, CNMT, MBA, will teach us how to fill our plate and still lose weight…more efficiently. We’ll learn what successful losers do that we don’t. Classes are once a week on Thursday’s, September 7 to October 26, 2017, 7:00 – 8:15 pm, Upper Youth Center,Forest Lake Church, 515 Harley Lester Ln, Apopka. REdeem REbuild REstore is a Christian parenting conference for parents of teens and pre-teens, presented by National House of Hope, featuring nationally recognized professional Christian speakers in the teen and family counseling field to provide expert advice on tough issues facing parents of teens and families.  The event will focus on the challenging issues so many teens and parents face daily, such as social media, abuse, anger, addictions, bullying, cutting, Internet safety, etc.  The goal of the event is to provide parents of teens with practical tools and Biblical resources to help them become the family leaders God intended them to be so the family will be ‘redeemed, rebuilt and restored’!
