Run for God 5k


Location: Fort Mellon Park, Sanford Riverwalk, Sanford FL

Join us on the Sanford Riverwalk for our biggest race ever. Make Run for God your Easter Weekend 5k and help us grow the mission funds so we can help send more kids on more trips. Since 2010 we helped over 160 youth on over 40 trips to Kenya, Mexico, Costa Rica, The Dominican Republic, Jamaica, New Orleans, Nicaragua, and others with over $30,000 in sponsorship. Please help us spread the word about our organization and our event and how we can all play a role in helping these kids do God’s work. Egg Scramble 5k and Easter Egg Hunt


Location: Palm Bay Regional Park, Palm Bay Fl

On Saturday, April 4th runners and walkers will start on this flat scenic 5K course that winds through Palm Bay Regional Park and into the surrounding neighborhood. Following the 5k event will be a kids run, trophy ceremony and Easter Egg Hunt. Free dinner and refreshments will be provided by
Chick-fil-A. Other amenities include a t-shirt, child care, kid’s workshop and the Easter Bunny!

Further details and information on registration is available on our website at Egg Scramble 5k. The cost of the event is $25 per registrant (includes food and amenities/leave your wallet in the car) and proceeds will benefit Promise in Brevard and Wesley United Methodist Church. This is a healthy and fun event to do with your family and we encourage you to join us.

Swamped


Location: Calvary Assembly, Winter Park Florida

Non profit arts organization Central Florida Community Arts (CFCArts) proudly presents Swamped, as performed by members of the Beginners Program (Kindergarten through 2nd grade) of their Children and Youth Arts program.

The swamp is all a-buzz with party preparations galore! Naturally, the turtles are running late, and Bully the Frog is being a bully. The frogs have learned a new dance they want to share. The tadpoles are growing appendages (yikes!) and the dragonfly larvae need encouragement to spread their wings and fly. Lessons of friendship, tolerance, courage to face the future, and more, abound!

Swamped will be performed at Calvary Assembly, 1199 Clay Street, Winter Park, FL 32789 at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 11. General Admission tickets are $10 each, and children age 12 and under will be admitted for free.

Disney's The Jungle Book KIDS


Location: Cavalry Assembly, Winter Park FL

Join Central Florida Community Arts (CFCArts) as members of the Intermediate Program (3rd grade through 6th grade) of their Children and Youth Arts program perform “Disney’s The Jungle Book KIDS.” The jungle is jumpin’ with jazz in Disney’s The Jungle Book KIDS. Specially adapted from the classic film, this musical includes all your favorite Disney tunes, like “The Bare Necessities,” and “I Wan’na Be Like You.” We look forward to sharing this memorable time with you and the whole family, see you at the jungle!

2015 Spring Muscle Walk


Location: Lakeside Park, Celebration FL

Teams are already registering to take a small step to make a big difference for the Muscular Dystrophy Association during the Central Florida’s Spring Muscle Walk to help pay tribute to — and raise funds for — local children and adults served by MDA. The 2015 Spring Muscle Walk’s festival is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Lakeside Park in Celebration, FL.

Funds raised at the 2015 Spring Muscle Walk help support MDA’s global research program for muscular dystrophy and related diseases, including ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease). It also helps send children to a weeklong, barrier-free MDA summer camp at Camp Thunderbird in Apopka. FL and supports comprehensive health care services at 200 MDA clinics, including the MDA Clinic at Nemours Children Hospital in Orlando, FL.

Kaleb Kares Bowl-A-Thon and Raffle


Location: Brunswick Wekiva Lanes, Apopka FL

Kaleb Kares, Inc. d/b/a Viviana’s Memory Boxes is having their 4th annual Bowl-a-thon and Raffle. Please join us for a night of fun, while supporting a local charity. Kaleb Kares, Inc. reaches out to families after the loss of a pregnancy or newborn baby. Their project Viviana’s Memory Boxes has delivered over 2,000 boxes to hospitals all over the United States. Based out of Orlando, FL this is their only fundraiser, and brings in 95% of their funding. They are a registered nonprofit 501 (c)3 organization and 100% of the donations goes to their project (it is all volunteer based, no salaries are paid out).

Bowl-a-thon information: Bowling is $10/person and includes two games and shoe rental. We need six people per lane and recommend you register as a team to save $10. If you can’t get six people to complete a lane, no worries – we will assign you to a team!

Relay for Life of Palm Bay

Relay for Life is an inspiring overnight event uniting the entire community in celebrating those who have had cancer, remembering loved ones lost, and providing an opportunity to fight back against the disease. Relay for Life supports the American Cancer Society’s mission to save lives by helping people stay well, by helping people get well, by finding cures and by fighting back.

Schedule – Saturday from 2 p.m. – Sunday at 7 a.m.
Opening Ceremony, Survivor & Caregiver Lap & Celebration: 2 p.m.
Luminaria Ceremony: 9 p.m.
Fight Back Ceremony: Midnight
