FREE Community Health FairLocation: FUMC Wesley Center, Clermont FL New Beginnings of Lake County will be hosting a FREE Community Health Fair on Saturday, June 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Wesley Center (950 7th Street Clermont, FL). This Health Fair, dedicated to Wellness and Fun, will feature more than 70 vendors offering free medical screenings for everyone, meetings with specialty Doctors and Dentists, lessons on how to eliminate back pain, expert nutritional guidance and healthy living tips as well as free sports physicals for kids 11 and under! Life Line Screening offer screening packages and stroke testing for a fee (pre-registration required).There will also be a bounce house and face painting for the kids along with lots of free door prizes to be given out. Join us for a family friendly day filled with activities for all ages! All proceeds will support New Beginnings’ Homeless Recovery Programs. Battle of the Branches Bowl-A-ThonLocation: Break Point Bowling Alley, Tavares Fl Operation: Care 4 R Troops presents: Battle of the Branches Bowl-A-Thon! Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Break Point Alley in Tavares, FL, starting at noon! Operation: Care 4 R Troops provides support to our Deployed military and their families before, during and after deployments. You can Sign up for the Bowl-A-Thon individually or as a 4 person team! We’ll have a 50/50 raffle, prizes for the overall highest scoring team, the highest scoring team from each of the 5 branches, the team that raises the most money and then a prize for ALL the supporters of the branch with the most supporters there-just to name a few! Vacation Bible School- Son Surf Beach BashLocation: Presbyterian Church of the Good Shepherd, Melbourne FL We are excited about Good Shepherd’s Vacation Bible School, Son Surf Beach Bash to be held from Sunday, June 23rd through Friday, June 28th. There will be fun and learning for all ages at the Beach Bash. We will have a light dinner at 5:30 p.m. every evening. The cost of each dinner is $2.75 per person each night and $12.00 per family of 5 or more each night. The fun and learning will begin at 6:15 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m. every evening.
