Orlando MG Walk 2014

My name is Amber McKeon and in February 2009, I was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis. I was battling the disease for 2 1/2 years before doctors were able to diagnose me. I have since had major surgery and been on high doses of corticosteroids and other medications to control the symptoms of MG. Please read my full story about living with MG.

This year is the 4th Annual MG Walk sponsored by the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America (MGFA). The MG Walks is the MGFA’s new signature awareness and fundraising campaign. With monies raised from the MG Walks, MGFA is committed to finding a cure for myasthenia gravis and closely related disorders, improving treatment options and providing information and support to people with myasthenia gravis through research, education, community programs, and advocacy.

Myasthenia Gravis is a neuromuscular chronic auto-immune disease that affects only 2 in 10,000 people. There is no cure for this disease and thats why we walk…”For a World without MG!”
