Walk to Defeat ALS – Orlando
The Walk to Defeat ALS – Orlando is a powerful community event that brings together people living with ALS, caregivers, families, friends, and local businesses to raise critical funds and awareness for the fight against ALS.
Hosted by the ALS Association, the Walk to Defeat ALS is the organization’s largest grassroots fundraising event, taking place in communities across the country. The Orlando Walk unites hundreds of participants each year who are passionate about supporting those impacted by ALS and advancing the search for treatments and a cure.
Funds raised through the walk help provide local care services for individuals and families living with ALS, including support groups, equipment loan programs, care coordination, and access to multidisciplinary ALS clinics. At the same time, these funds contribute to global research initiatives that are working toward better treatments and ultimately a cure.
The event itself is an inspiring and family-friendly morning that includes:
A meaningful opening ceremony honoring those living with ALS and remembering loved ones
A one-mile walk bringing the community together in support
Team tents and fundraising celebrations
Opportunities for local businesses to engage with participants and show their community support
Local businesses and partners play a vital role in making the Walk to Defeat ALS possible. By supporting the Orlando Walk through sponsorships, in-kind donations, or team participation, companies help directly impact the lives of families facing ALS in our community.
Together, we walk to create a world without ALS.
