The Emil Buehler Planetarium and the Central Florida Astronomical Society will team up to host a free telescope viewing event under the dark skies of Seminole State College’s Public Safety Training Complex and Driving Track at the Geneva Center.

Telescopes will be set up along the driving track, providing plenty of space and clear horizons for guests to enjoy views of the night sky. Planetarium staff will also lead several constellation laser tours, highlighting different features and constellations visible that evening.

The event will take place outdoors, and viewing will be dependent on favorable weather conditions. Guests are encouraged to check the planetarium’s webpage within 12 hours of the event start time for a final decision regarding potential cancellation due to inclement weather.

This free event is open to everyone. Guests who own telescopes are welcome to bring them and can receive assistance from volunteers with telescope operation. Attendees are also encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, binoculars, snacks, and bug spray for added comfort.
