A Christmas Blessing

This time of year can be difficult for families who have children in the hospital. I’m grateful that we get to join our Orlando area Chick-fil-A restaurants this year as they surprise a few families with a Christmas Blessing at AdventHealth for Children this Christmas Season! Join Ellis and me on weekday mornings at 9:30 a.m. December 9 through December 20 as we have the honor to share their incredible stories.

We’d love for your family to get involved…

Your family can be a part of the Christmas Blessing this year, too! We’d love for you and your kids to send a message of encouragement to a family in hospital this Christmas by sending a card or letter to:

Z88.3 Mornings with Ellis and Tyler

Day 1: Marlie

We are joining with Chick-fil-A and AdventHealth for Children to share a Christmas Blessing each morning this week. Today we shared Marlie’s story. She is 5 years old.  Marlie was born as a micro preemie, weighing just 1 pound 8 ounces and spent 6 months in the NICU.  She has undergone around 30 surgeries and lives with cerebral palsy, intractable epilepsy, and hydrocephalus. – Tyler

Day 2: Braiden

We are joining with Chick-fil-A and AdventHealth for Children to share a Christmas Blessing each morning this week. Today we shared Braiden’s story. He is ten years old. His foster (and soon-to-be-adoptive) mom, Susan, has been in his life since he was a baby. Earlier this year, Braiden was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He’s undergone chemotherapy and is now in remission. – Tyler

Day 3: Zoe

We are joining with Chick-fil-A and AdventHealth for Children to share a Christmas Blessing each morning this week. Today we shared Zoe’s story.  She is almost two years old.  When Zoe’s mom, Lovely, was 33 weeks pregnant, she was in a serious car accident.  Zoe was born early, and went into surgery immediately.  She was also diagnosed with down syndrome.  She is the happiest baby and smiles through everything. – Tyler

Day 4: Levi

We are joining with Chick-fil-A and AdventHealth for Children to share a Christmas Blessing each morning this week. Today we shared Levi’s story.  He is twelve years old.  Levi is being raised by his grandparents.  When he was five, he was diagnosed with ADHD. Finally, in 2022, they were connected with Dr. Gurnani at AdventHealth for Children where he was diagnosed with PTSD, dysgraphia, and is high on the spectrum along with his ADHD. – Tyler

Day 5: Eliana

We are joining with Chick-fil-A and AdventHealth for Children to share a Christmas Blessing each morning this week. Today we shared Eliana’s story.  She is five years old.  After a long road, Eliana was diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome, a genetic disorder caused by a mutation.  She currently has up to 20 seizures a day but her family is so grateful for the care they’re receiving at AdventHealth. – Tyler

Day 6: Olivia Joy

We are joining with Chick-fil-A and AdventHealth for Children to share a Christmas Blessing each morning this week. Today we shared Olivia Joy’s story.  She is one year old.  Olivia was born as a micro-preemie at 26 weeks, weighing only 2 pounds. She had to be medically evacuated to the Level IV NICU at Orlando and spent 117 days there. She is truly a miracle! – Tyler

Day 7: Keegan

We are joining with Chick-fil-A and AdventHealth for Children to share a Christmas Blessing each morning this week. Today we shared Keegan’s story.  He’s 14 years old.  Keegan was diagnosed with one of the rarest kinds of leukemia in the world.  His cancer went into remission but unfortunately two months ago, they found that it was back, but it turned into a more common type.  He’s currently undergoing chemotherapy. – Tyler

Day 8: John

We are joining with Chick-fil-A and AdventHealth for Children to share a Christmas Blessing each morning this week. Today we shared John’s story.  John and his twin brother, Noah, are five years old.  They were born at 23 weeks, weighing 1 pound and 8 ounces each.  John had grade 3 and 4 brain bleed and gastric issues at birth.  He has had several surgeries but he is brave and resilient. – Tyler

Day 9: Jayden

We are joining with Chick-fil-A and AdventHealth for Children to share a Christmas Blessing each morning this week. Today we shared Jayden’s story. He is 16 years old. At age 6, he started having kidney issues and he had to go on dialysis. He also had a lot of issues with his blood pressure. In August, Jayden’s mom passed away, and now his sister is raising him. – Tyler

Day 10: Cyrus

We are joining with Chick-fil-A and AdventHealth for Children to share a Christmas Blessing each morning this week. Today we shared Cyrus’ story. He is six years old. When he was three, he was diagnosed with leukemia.
  After two and a half years of treatment, Cyrus rang the cancer-free bell on his birthday this year! – Tyler
