Barefoot Mile - Walk for Freedom

Location: Lake Eola, Orlando FL

Join your community for the Orlando Barefoot Mile!

The Barefoot Mile is a 1 mile barefoot walk to Fight4Freedom for those trapped in human trafficking both locally and globally.

Human trafficking is the fastest growing crime in the world today, an annual $150 billion dollar industry. It is the third largest international criminal industry. Two million children are exploited every year in the global commercial sex trade. These crimes are not just being committed internationally, it is happening right here in Orlando too.

The funds raised will assist in the rescue, restoration, reintegration and prevention of human trafficking in Orlando, the U.S. and internationally.

Saturday, February 2nd
Lake Eola (Washington Plaza)
Registration begins at 9am
Walk begins at 10am

The cost to participate is $25 per person (12 and under walk free) and includes a t-shirt and swag bag. Each participant is asked to set a goal of raising $100 to Fight4Freedom on behalf of those caught in human trafficking.  The goal is to have 300 participants walk in the Barefoot Mile with each participant engaging in the peer-to-peer fundraiser.

To register for the event go to:

This event will benefit JOY International, dedicated to rescuing, restoring and reintegrating victims of trafficking in partnership with Harbour Hope International (located right here in Orlando) whose mission is to empower marginalized women and children through holistic care and provide mentoring friendships for those that have been rescued from a life of sex trafficking.

Building Strong Families - Teamwork

Location: LifePoint Christian Church, Longwood Florida

Life is messy and families aren’t perfect (and based on the Bible — we all come from a long line of messiness). Building Strong Families strives to walk with families through the many seasons of life.

Building Strong Families exists to create shared family experiences in the Orlando area as well as provide resources for churches to “Family Well”. The goal is to build stronger families through multi-generational connections, service experiences and foundational truths from God.

Bring your family Saturday, February 2, @ 6pm to LifePoint Christian Church in Longwood.

Building Strong Families’ goal in this next season is to help families navigate the possibilities of succeeding as a family. Each month they focus on a theme and discuss how you can build stronger families.
WHO should attend BSFAM? Parents with kids, birth-college. Bring your kids and any family members (grandma, grandpa, your aunt and that crazy uncle). This is open to any families in the Orlando area communities. Whether you’re from a local neighborhood or a church… come join in.

Each month you can enjoy a POTLOCK meal together, engage in fun activities and have purposeful discussions between multi-generations.

REGISTRATION is REQUIRED and SEATING is LIMITED.
