Healing Hearts Camp

Life is not easy and bad things happen to all of us that cause our hearts to be wounded, including children. Unattended wounds of the heart can result in poor health, bad behavior, depression, violence, difficulty in school and many other negative symptoms. That’s why Northland Church is offering a five-day Healing Hearts Club Camp. This camp will give children (ages 8–13) an opportunity to learn about the wounds of their hearts…They will not only process ways of understanding their own hurt, but will learn about the healing process through stories, games, art and music with specially trained teachers and children their own age.  As they share their own stories, they make new friends in a safe, fun and welcoming environment while learning how God is the one who can heal the wounds of their hearts.

The Healing Hearts Club, designed by the American Bible Society, is a Bible Based program that gives an opportunity to change that trajectory. Children will learn how to work through their emotional and spiritual pain, through interactive, story-centered, activities. They will learn to take their pain to the cross, helping them to overcome anger, fear and loneliness, and experience God’s love for them.

For His Glory HomeSchool Co-Op 2019-20 registration

For His Glory Homeschool Co-op meets at Immanuel Presbyterian Church on Orange Camp Rd. in Deland each Monday. They are a faith-based co-op for birth through high school and they offer academic classes for all ages that are taught by their own members in most cases. You may choose 1 class, 2 classes, or whatever fits the needs of your family. For His Glory is not a drop off style, as they believe you are all working together as a community to help educate your children using each other’s passions and strengths.
