Pumpkin Patch Now till October 31st

Location: Grace United Methodist Church, Merritt Island FL

Grace UMC Pumpkin Patch! Located at 65 Needle Blvd. Patch Hours 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily! Opening Friday, Oct 16 through Oct 31!
Come and Get Your Love …And your pumpkin!
The Grace UMC Pumpkin Patch. For decades the church has welcomed the Space Coast community onto our campus to celebrate the season, make life-long memories and find just the right pumpkin! In these unprecedented times, when so many of our congregation are vulnerable, we gave serious consideration to canceling this beloved tradition and community outreach.
Instead, help us share the love — but not the germs — with our community by abiding by the safety measures we have added to keep the patch safe for everyone. Come and get your love! Please wear a mask unless taking pictures and follow social distancing measures as much as possible! They hope to see you soon! https://gumcmi.com/

Children's Community Costume Run

Location: St Peter’s Episcopal Church, Lake Mary Rd FL

Just like so many you, the impacts of this pandemic has been wide-reaching. Events were put on hold, goodbyes were said early and as an organization, St Peter’s Episcopal Church was forced to take a step back. Though it was difficult to transition, they still have the same goal of creating as many moments of joy for every family they can.

So what’s the plan?
To have the most fun possible this Halloween with a virtual Costume run! All donations will go towards their children’s programs in the Lake Mary Sanford Area. During this time, it is more important than ever to create moments for all of us to come together. How amazing would it be for the community to recognize the need to support children’s programming and to see silly costumes all throughout Central Florida? This Halloween may look different for a lot of people, but there is no reason we cannot spin it into a positive.

Who can participate: Anyone who is willing to be a little silly for a good cause and it’s FREE 🙂

How to Participate: On October 31st go for a run! They suggest a 5k, but all distances are welcomed. Just remember the most important thing…..WEAR A COSTUME!!! Then make sure you post on social media with the #CCCRun
( Children’s Community Costume Run) on Instagram and Facebook. On November 1st they will post our top 10 costumes/posts. They will contact winners through our social media with prizes.

Will it be silly? Yes. Will people stare? Most likely. Will you laugh? Absolutely.
But think of the memories of going for a run with people you care about in your favorite costume this Halloween.

Participation is free, but donations help continue to create moments like this.

To learn more visit their website at mymaxlife.org or email Adeemir@stpeterslakemary.org

***Just a reminder though it will be outside, please observe all city ordinances for gatherings and social distancing. Also remember to thoughtful with your costumes. Let’s keep it family-friendly and be kind to others around us.***
