12th Annual Landscaping with Native Plants Tour

Mark your calendars! Conradina Chapter of FNPS will be hosting its 12th annual “Landscaping  With Native Plants Tour.” The tour will take place on Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 9 am to 3 pm. Be sure to come observe and explore some wonderful native plant landscapes at a variety of locations. This year they are especially excited to have seven homes and one public space all beachside. The tour is a fabulous look at what homeowners and public spaces have done by using native plants in different situations.

The best part is how it always suggests new ideas and new appreciation for native plants.

11th Annual Asian Cultural EXPO 2021

Location: Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake, Orlando Florida
After a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the GWN Dragon Boat races and multicultural Asian Cultural EXPO will return on October 16 at the Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake.
Come experience and honor the wonders of Asian culture through exhibitions, performances, and workshops! Asian Cultural EXPO will be held together with the GWN Orlando International Dragon Boat Festival which will be participated by 2,500 Corporate and Community members and thousands spectators. The event is free and good for all ages.
Free Admission and Parking! Bring your lawn chair to enjoy one day of fun festival!

Among all the other cultural performances at 1 PM there will be a Praise and Worship Hula dance and workshop afterwards.

14th Annual Winter Springs Festival of the Arts

The Oviedo-Winter Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce and the City of Winter Springs proudly produce and host the Winter Springs Festival of the Arts (WSFOTA).

The 14th Annual WSFOTA is presented by AdventHealth and will take place Saturday, October 16th and Sunday, October 17th from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm (both days) on beautiful Blumberg Blvd. in Winter Springs, Florida.

Pig on the Pond

Location: Clermont Waterfront Park, Clermont FL

Pig on the Pond is an annual festival which has been bringing fun to the South Lake community for almost 21 years with delicious barbecue, live entertainment, thrilling carnival rides, fireworks and more.  The festival is an event of Project Scholars, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which provides educational scholarships and support to local students. Additionally, more than 20 local non-profit organizations participate in the festival as a means to conduct fundraising for educational purposes.

Daily Admission*

  • $5 for Adults

  • $3 for Children 2-6

  • Free for Children under 2

Carnival Ride Tickets

  • $10 for 10 Tickets

  • $20 for Unlimited Rides Armband

Unlimited carnival rides are available Saturday from 1 – 7 pm and Sunday from 11 am – 6 pm. Armbands are available for purchase until 5 pm on Saturday and 6 pm on Sunday.

For your convenience, ATM’s are located at several sites within the festival. The festival is a dog-friendly event (leashes required).

(KBLC) will host the 7th Annual Orlando Health & Wellness Gospel Fest.  Each year, KBLC brings together health care professionals, local and national recording artists, neighborhoods, and local community leaders to Unite, inspire and bring hope to the residents of Orlando and Central Florida.

Attendees will experience the Health & Wellness Oasis (healthcare professionals onsite providing free wellness checks and resources), they are excited to announce they will have a mobile mammogram on-site giving free mammograms, Kidz Zone, vendors, food, and more.  There will be an array of fun activities and inspiring music for the entire family to enjoy.  There is a spectacular lineup of recording artists, including Dove Award Winner and Grammy nominee Dr. Percy Bady, Roy & Revelation, The Florida Super Choir, dance groups, and much more.
