Altamonte Mall Carnival


Location: AMC Altamonte Mall, Altamonte Spring Florida

There’s something for everyone at this family-friendly event Nov. 4-14, from whimsical kiddie rides to state-of-the-art thrill rides, midway games, and deep-fried treats, sweets and other carnival eats.

Event parking and admission are free.

Unlimited ride wristbands (for riders 36 inches and taller) are $35 on-site while supplies last and discounted online pre-sale (before 5 pm Thurs., Nov. 4) at Tickets for $29 each, 2/$55 or 4/$99. Visit Altamonte Mall Carnival for Saturday ride wristband restrictions.

Ride tickets are also available at the carnival for $1.50 each, $30/20 tickets, or $60/50 tickets plus 1 free ride. (Rides take 2 or more tickets each.) Online pre-sale special: $45/50 tickets (includes 1 free ride).

St. George's Greek American Festival


Location: St. George Greek Orthodox Church, New Port Richey FL

Nov. 5-7: This family-friendly community event features a carnival with rides and games for all ages and favorite fair food, and festival offerings including authentic Greek cuisine, beer and wine, vendors, music and dancing.

GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays on Zoom


Location: St. Luke’s UMC, Orlando FL

Bittersweet memories. Loss of traditions. An empty seat at the table. The holiday season can trigger sadness and despair for people grieving a loss. Join St. Luke’s for a free online 2-hour program on Zoom called “Surviving the Holidays” to talk about how to deal with grief around the holiday season: Sunday, November 7 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This program is open to anyone who has suffered a loss and finds it difficult to get through the holidays no matter how long ago your loved one passed.
