Altamonte Mall Carnival

There’s something for everyone at this family-friendly event Nov. 4-14, from whimsical kiddie rides to state-of-the-art thrill rides, midway games, and deep-fried treats, sweets and other carnival eats.

Event parking and admission are free.

Keep moving this fall with a 5k fun run through Windermere on November 13 at 7:30 a.m. to support ZOE Empowers. Through this ministry, children in Rwanda and Zimbabwe who once lived in poverty become entrepreneurs, providers, and leaders in their community who know their worth and abilities. Runners and walkers of all ages, strollers, and dogs are welcome!

Let’s run for children who walk miles to live every day. Be part of something bigger than yourself as you run or walk in person or virtually, so that orphans and vulnerable children in Zimbabwe and Rwanda can partner with us in a powerful empowerment program called Zoe Empowers (zoeempowers.org). There is also a possibility to contribute even if physically you cannot participate in the event. We will meet on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 7:00 a.m. at Family Church of Windermere at 300 Main Street, Windermere. Race start time is at 7:30 a.m

Giving Ocoee a Smile

Location: Charming Smiles of Ocoee, Ocoee FL

Charming Smiles of Ocoee is hosting a one-day-only FREE dental event. November is a month of being thankful and we want to do that by giving back to our community.

Who can come?!? Anyone in the local community ages 3-99 years old who does not have dental insurance or the financial means to see a dentist regularly.

Treatments being offered: Limited dental exams, oral cancer screenings, dental extractions, fillings, dental cleanings, and sealants.

Walk for Bibles

Location: First Baptist Church of Cape Canaveral, Cape Canaveral FL

Walk for Bibles is an annual event that rallies the faith community around both Port Canaveral and seafarers coming into Port Canaveral. They ask participants to raise money so that they can buy Bibles in the languages of the seafarers. They also ask participants to prayer walk through Cape Canaveral and Port Canaveral beginning at FBC Cape Canaveral, walking through Port Canaveral to Exploration Tower and then returning to FBC Cape Canaveral. Canaveral Port Ministry, along with other prayer points, is one of the stops along the route participants take. This annual event provides Bibles for seafarers in their heart language and the prayers undergird CPM for the entire year.
