Engelwood and Union Park Neighborhood Center for Families is having a job fair on May 11th, 2022 at First United Church of Christ from 10am – 1 pm. at First United Church of Christ 4605 Curry Ford Rd. Orlando, FL 32812. The event is free of cost, to assist employers with recruiting new employees and residents within the community to find jobs.

Introduction to Stained Glass with Jamille Haddad

Location: Studios of Cocoa Beach, Cocoa Beach FL

The Studios of Cocoa Beach is again offering the popular Introduction to Stained Glass Class. Jamille Haddad will guide you through the entire process of creating a beautiful stained glass piece

The Class meets from 6 to 9 pm on Wednesdays, May 11, 18 and 25, 2022 at the Studios, 165 Minutemen Causeway in downtown Cocoa Beach.

The first week will focus on glass-cutting techniques, choosing your design and selecting colors. Week two will involve cutting the glass for your project, and an introduction to copper foil techniques. During the 3rd week, students will finish cutting and foiling their projects, and prepare for soldering.

Jamille Haddad has been designing and producing Stained Glass and Fused Glass Art in the Central Florida area for over 40 years. “My work is more spiritual than political and usually has themes based on my feelings of spirituality. I strive for beautiful craftsmanship while pushing the material to its limits and create Art to enhance our living and working environments”

Fee for the 3 session class is $150 plus an additional $50 material fee due the first day of class. All necessary equipment will be provided. Students should bring closed toe shoes, prescription or safety glasses, and have hair tied back.
