Z88.3 FM: Safe For The Little Ears®

Date/Time Event
5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Judgement House (English Version)

Location: Primera Iglesia Bautista de Orlando, Orlando FL

John Cartwright, Jennifer Mackey, Matthew Burke, and Jake Rhoades are living different lives, in different places, with different struggles, aspirations, and routines. They have very little in common. One is a lawyer, another is a captain of the cheerleading squad, another is a happy student looking forward to a life of mission work, and another is just looking for trouble. Their spiritual conditions are as varied as their lives, but the one thing they do have in common is they only have 59 minutes left to live.

The stories of their lives serve as a reminder that time is short, and extremely valuable. Follow each of these characters through their final 59 minutes on earth and find out how prepared they were for eternity. How would you spend the last 59 minutes of your life? Would you finally tell someone you loved them? Would there be things you would not want left undone? Would you draw your family close and hold them tight? Would you finally take time to think about God before it’s too late? How would your life change if you only had 59 minutes?

Webcast: Ethical Considerations for Working with Children Anticipating a Death

Location: New Hope for Kids, Maitland FL

In recognition of November as Children’s Grief Awareness month, New Hope for Kids in collaboration with the National Alliance for Grieving Children will host a Fall Webcast on Children’s Grief:

Ethical Considerations for Working with Children Anticipating a Death

The process of dying presents many challenges to individuals and families impacted by a life limited illness or terminal diagnosis. When children are present and part of the immediate situation, family members and professionals sometimes are at a loss as to how to connect with, involve, or talk to children about the realities of the situation.

This webcast will explore the ethical implications of supporting children who are anticipating the death of a parent, the death of a sibling, or their own death.

Our three presenters will provide practical information and advice for caring for children in the face of a terminal diagnosis. They will share information about how to talk to children about death, how to include children in rituals, and ways to offer support throughout the dying process.

Parking is on-site and free.

Seating is limited to 50 individuals.  Please register by October 30th.

If you do not require CEUs, the event is free; please register by calling 407-331-3059, Ext. 10 or emailing information@newhopeforkids.org.  To earn 4.5 CEUS, there’s a $35 fee and you will register by going to www.newhopeforkids.org/donate and entering”webinar” from the designated drop-down.
