The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Eric Jacobsen, and featuring guest pianist, Gabriela Martinez, performs “Schumann and Schumann.” This family-friendly program of classics is presented by  St. Luke’s Concert Series, which is celebrating 25 years of offering a full season of concerts from September through April, with free admission and parking, as its gift to the community. The performances typically attract audiences of about 1,000, so early arrival is advised for best choice of seating and parking.

Bruised But Not Destroyed is a Christian-based non profit for women who have been victims of any kind of abuse. They were recently featured on Bay News 9. This fundraiser will not only help raise awareness to the issue, but also help raise the needed funds to provide resources to the women who need their services most. Tickets are $10. Blessing of the Pets

Location: Longwood Hills Congregational Church, Longwood Fl

Pets are a special blessing and they bring so much joy and love!

Join Longwood Hills Congregational Church on Sunday, October 7 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm to offer a Blessing of the Pets. People and pets of all faiths are welcome. Each pet will receive a blessing and a free medal of St. Francis, patron saint of animals. Information tables will also be available, including local pet service providers, a canine activity field, and face painting for the children.

In support of shelter animals, donations will be accepted for Pet Alliance. Some of their wishlist needs include “Patte” Wet Cat Food, KMR – Kitten Milk Replacer, dog treats, dry dog food, puppy pads, paper towels, non-clumping cat litter, towels, and laundry detergent.
