Collage Painting Workshop


Location: Studios of Cocoa Beach, Cocoa Beach FL

Join instructor and award winning artist Joan Kisner on Tuesday, February 27 from 1 to 4 pm at the Studios of Cocoa Beach and learn how to “cut and paste” a painting using scissors and glue.  You’ll have a fun afternoon and learn the art of acrylic collage. Students will create a “hot air balloon” collage with a painted background and added elements.  Once you learn the technique and it’s secrets it will open a new world of painting

Joan has been an artist and art teacher most of her life with expertise in painting, fine art enameling and jewelry design.  She has taught workshops in many areas and has had art selected for regional and national tours.

 

Cost of the class is $40 which includes all materials.  Students should bring sharp scissors, colorful magazine pages and a table easel if preferred.  Reservations required. Call or text Joan for more info and to sign up at317-370-9329  or email jkkisner@hotmail.com

 

The class will be held at The Studios of Cocoa Beach , 165 Minuteman Causeway in downtown  Cocoa Beach.  The Studios is a non-profit gallery and the creative hub on the Beach with a full schedule of workshops.  The Studio is open Monday and Tuesday 10:30am-3:30pm, Wednesday through Saturday10:30 am -8pm, and Sunday 11 am – 4 pm.

Other Details:
The Awana Grand Prix at this location is open for racers of that elementary age. It is recommended to register in advance.
The Races are done by Age bracket referred to as Sparks and T&T.
Preschoolers (cubbies) do have a FREE cheering section, and you are encouraged to have your child come.
There will be a cheering section open for Adults and teens.
Special Guest Emcee and Grand Marshall: Jim DeBerry

This event is FREE to attend or visit and open to the public; this event is open to the public to RACE based on race criteria. The racer will need to meet simple basic requirements that you can get by contacting our local Awana Leader.
 A Pinewood car can cost anywhere from $5-10 for the basic kit. Please see links provided on website above for more information about the cars.
Those not members of Awana Clubs are welcome to visit the Race and us.
Your car must meet Awana standards; an example would be the type of race wheels, height, weight, etc. Please check with the Awana Group Leader for more details.
