The Oviedo Woman’s Club’s Great Day in the Country Arts & Crafts Festival will celebrate its 52nd year on November 14 and 15 at Oviedo Mall. The festival will feature a variety of vendors, the Oviedo Woman’s Club Country Store with baked goods and bean soup, a student art contest, an arts and crafts contest, and on-stage entertainment.

This year’s event will have a country fair atmosphere in celebration of America’s 250th birthday, with games and contests including a pie-eating contest, Red, White, Blue & You Parade, longest beard contest, Rooster Roundup, hula hoop contests, longest natural braids contest, best decorated cake contest, most patriotic outfit contest, pickle-eating contest, cake walk, and cornhole tournament.

The festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Admission and parking are free. Portions of the event will be held indoors, with most activities taking place outdoors in the northwest parking lot near D’Amico & Sons Italian Market and Bakery.
