The community is invited to take part in the inaugural Run for The Porch 5K on Saturday, January 30, 2027, at Lake Eva Park in Haines City, Florida. Hosted by The Veteran Front Porch, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the event aims to bring the community together while supporting military veterans and their families.

More than just a 5K, this family-friendly event is an opportunity to honor those who have served, promote mental health and wellness, combat veteran isolation, and build lasting friendships. Runners, walkers, veterans, military families, and community supporters of all ages and fitness levels are welcome.

In addition to the 5K, attendees can enjoy local vendors, connect with community organizations, and meet others who share a passion for supporting veterans. Proceeds will benefit The Veteran Front Porch’s mission of creating a welcoming community where veterans can find fellowship, encouragement, and valuable resources.

Whether participants choose to run, walk in honor of a loved one, or show their support, every step helps build a stronger veteran community. As The Veteran Front Porch reminds its community, “Pull up a chair, you belong here.”
