Evacuation Orders
- Volusia County curfew ends at 7 am Saturday.

- Beach Access: Closed to vehicular access. Residents are discouraged from visiting the beach due to high winds, rough surf, and rip-currents.

- Special Needs Shelters: For elderly, physically, mentally or sensory disabled, visually or hearing impaired residents or those who need supplemental oxygen. Evacuees should be accompanied by a caregiver if this type of assistance normally is needed. SpNS are not for people who need 24-hour dedicated care, a hospital bed, ventilator, other complex care or isolation patients. These individuals should discuss other shelter arrangements with their physician or home health service provider or caregiver.
- Pet-Friendly: Small animals only, must be crated and cared for by owners (leash, food, water must be brought and will not be provided); will be housed in a separate location at a shelter. Only the fairgrounds houses people and pets in the same location.

- Votran Bus Service: Resumes Saturday.
- Daytona Beach International Airports: Travelers are encouraged to contact their airlines directly for specific flights. The airport is NOT available as a shelter for passengers with canceled flights.
Schools
- Stetson University: All events and classes are canceled through Sunday, Oct. 9.
- Bethune-Cookman University: Officials anticipate residence halls will re-open at noon on Sunday, Oct. 9.
- Daytona State College: Re-opening on Monday.
Businesses
- Public Libraries: Closed on Saturday. All items with due dates between 10/6 – 10/9 are due 10/10.
Garbage Collection
- There will be no makeup day. Regular collection services will resume Monday, Oct. 10. For more information, call Volusia County Solid Waste at 386-943-7889.
