Mission Trip to the Appalachians

South Orlando Baptist Church is taking a mission trip to the Appalachians. South Orlando Baptist Church did a fictitious play which turned into video series. You can view the videos here. It will give you examples of what the mission trip will be like. If God has put it on your heart to go on this mission trip you will need to contact South Orlando Baptist Church at 407.859.1536 and speak with Phil or Judy Weaver by May 1, 2013. They will need to spend some time with you to educate and train you for this mission trip. The date to leave will be on June 8^th or June 9^th from South Orlando Baptist Church, 11513 S. Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, FL 32837. This mission trip is to help people in the Appalachians and will go through June 15^th.

• The cost of the mission trip is: $300 – If you can’t go, but would like to donate, please call the church office.

2013 Ping Pong Tournament

Thrive Youth Group is holding a Double Elimination Ping Pong Tournament.  The event is open to anyone ages 10 and up.  The cost is $5 to play.  Only $1 to watch and cheer on your favorite players.  Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.  There will be lots of raffle prizes to win as well.

Come on out and enjoy a day of music, food and FUN.

*Funds from this event go to helping Thrive Youth Group attend camp where participants are positively influenced to rise above the challenges that many teens struggle with.

Vacation Bible School

Summer Camp Kingdom Rock

Dear Parents:

At Kingdom Rock, kids will discover how to stand strong for God!  Kingdom Rock is filled with incredible Bible-learning experiences. Kids will see, hear, touch, and even taste! Sciency-fun Gizmos, team building games, cool Bible songs, amazing Craft, Field Trips, outside adventures in our 175 acres of land , and tasty treats are just a few of the royally rocking activities that help faith flow into real life. Since everything is hands-on, kids might get a little messy. Be sure to send them in play clothes and safe shoes. Plus, we’ll help kids discover how to see evidence of God in everyday life-something we call “God Sightings.”  Get ready to hear that phrase a lot.

Camp Love Educational and Recreational Enrichment Day Camp

Images Of Glory INC. would love to help inspire and educate our youth of today. We will be having an all day camp starting June 10th to August 9th, from 7:15 a.m. to 6 p.m., ages 4-12. For more information visit Images of Glory or register at Camp Love.

K-5 Grade Performing Arts Summer Camp

We just opened up registration for Summer 2013! Join us for an exciting week of singing, dancing, and acting that culminates in a huge showcase for family and friends. We are also partnering with several Arts organizations in Central Florida to provide fun and interactive workshops during each afternoon that are included in the price of camp!

Workshops include:

• Dance and Movement-Yow Dance
• Painting and Art- Crealde’ School of Art
• Improv and Comedic Acting- Improv Troupe
• Instrumental Music and Performance- Central Florida Community Orchestra

Beginner Camp (entering Kindergarten- 5^th Grade)

• Presenting the musical “A Kid’s Life: a how- to musical guide for a day filled with adventure, music and imagination- all without fancy gadgets!”
• Date: Monday, June 10^th- Friday June 14^th (extended care will be available until 5:00 p.m. at $10 per day)
• Time: 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
