Orientation for Citizenship Classes

Location: Hope CommUnity Center South Campus, Apopka Fl

Hope CommUnity Center is holding an orientation on January 6th to kick off the new quarter of Citizenship classes. The classes give Legal Permanent Residents the knowledge and skills they need to become United States Citizens. There are three levels of Citizenship Classes at HCC where students learn about US History and Civics and practice reading, writing and speaking English. For students with an upcoming interview, volunteers lead one-on-one “mock interviews” to simulate meeting with the USCIS officer. In addition, HCC partners with Catholic Charities to provide legal services.

St. Luke’s Concert Series is a FREE gift to all; sharing God’s amazing gift of music with the entire community! We are celebrating its 24th season of offering FREE concerts,  and this year the Orlando Concert Band will start on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 7pm. The 60 piece ensemble will fill the acoustical space with the lush sounds of “The Music of John Williams,”under the direction of Jon Territo. A truly family-friendly performance of semi-classical and screen music.FREE admission AND FREE parking for both the Friday rehearsal and Saturday concert.
