Proceeds from the event benefit Dress for Success Greater Orlando and help with essential programming. Dress for Success Greater Orlando empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and development tools to thrive in work and in life.

This meeting is for current and future homeschoolers in the Central Florida area. What to expect?

  • Open discussion to help other home educators overcome challenges related to teaching our students, or problems unique to the homeschooling lifestyle.
  • Discuss resources, events, and possible field trips of interest to local homeschooling families
  • Provide an opportunity for homeschoolers to arrange play dates, study groups, or private buy/sell/trade transactions.
  • Lesson plan and strategies for the upcoming month for each individualized student with the help and support of fellow home educators.


This group holds no religious or business affiliations. It is designed to be a support and growth impetus for the local homeschooling community.

Let's Talk Abuse Health Summit & Fashion Show

Location: Winter Park Community Center, Winter Park Florida

J’adore Scrubs, an online Medical Apparel store, invites you to come out and join them at their first annual “Let’s Talk Abuse” Health Summit & Fashion Show. The purpose of the summit is to raise awareness and provide information to the community about the distinctive parts of abuse and how each influences the other. Their goal is to bring people together  from the local community to educate and inspire. The J’adore team believes in the commonly used adage, “see something, say something,” and it is their hope that attendees will leave the summit feeling more efficacious to address situations of violence and abuse; seek necessary help; and serve as violence/abuse advocates.

In addition to panel discussions there will also be a variety of vendors, giveaways and refreshments. Proceeds raised from the summit will support The Harbor House of Central Florida whose mission is to eliminate domestic violence in Central Florida by providing safety, shelter, empowerment, education and justice.

Join your community for its 2nd Annual “Take pART” Festival of the Arts!

“Take pART” is a free event open to everyone! Art lovers and creatives will enjoy a stroll through “Artist Alley” to view artwork in the Fine Art Gallery. Drop in on one of the featured artistic demonstrations and workshops, make and take your own artwork, or experience what it’s like to create one of our St. Luke’s productions! New this year will be painting and music workshops for kids.

Liberty Weekend

Location: Orlando International Airport, Orlando Florida

In celebration of Independence Day, the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority with the Hyatt Regency at Orlando International Airport will honor America’s history with a patriotic concert by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra called Liberty Weekend.

This year’s theme, “Freedom – The Sound of America”, will be celebrated on Saturday, June 29, during the annual Fourth of July spectacular. Airport leaders invite the community to attend the complimentary performance and enjoy The Orlando Experience by visiting the state’s busiest airport.

The concert begins at 8 p.m. and takes place in the atrium of the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

Prior to the concert, at 7:45 p.m. one Central Floridian will be presented the Colonel Joe Kittinger Award, which was created to recognize and honor a local veteran for his or her outstanding service and contributions to aviation, the Country, and the Central Florida Community.

The concert is open to the public and those attending the event will receive three hours of complimentary garage parking.

For ease of parking, please follow the blue signs to Terminal C parking garage.

When entering Parking Garage C, pull a parking ticket. Attendees will be given a validated ticket at the event. Validation does not apply to valet parking or E-Pass/Sunpass.
