BBFC will be commemorating Breast Cancer Awareness Month with an All-Girl Martial Arts Tournament in a spirit of fellowship and friendly competition.
Their zero-tolerance policy against unsportsmanlike behavior ensures all competitors and their families will have an enjoyable competition experience like no other!
Tournament Fee is $65 and includes all 4 events: Sparring, Weapons, Forms, and Grappling.

10th Annual Mims Mullet Festival


Location: Downtown Mims, Mims FL

The Mims United Methodist Church and the First Baptist Church of Mims are hosting the 10th annual Mims Mullet Festival on Saturday, October 6th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the church grounds at 3302 Green Street (MUMC) and 2395 Kentucky Ave (FBCM), Mims, FL 32754. Admission to the festival is free.

There will be smoked and fried mullet dinners, hamburgers hot dogs, and other treats. Dinner plate prices include 2 sides and a drink. Both churches will host a bake sale, so you can also purchase a delicious homemade treat for dessert or take hom

Entertainment includes rock climbing, bouncy house, bungee jump, horse rides, kids’ games, a car show with 50+ autos, a craft fair, demonstrations, and music all afternoon. Games are reasonably priced with discounts for wrist bands. Along with the famous Mullet in Toilet Toss, there will be a Toilet Soap Box Derby.

There is a 5K run and Golf tournament the morning of the festival at Indian River Preserve. Links for applications to compete can be found on the website.

The Kick Off Dinner with a silent auction is September 29th. At Indian River Preserve. Dinner Tickets are $25.00

Fall Festival + Pumpkin Patch at SHF!


Location: Southern Hill Farms, Clermont FL

Join Southern Hill Farms on their family farm for their 3rd Annual Fall Festival + Pumpkin Patch! This year Southern Hill Farms will be featuring a festival every weekend with endless memories for you, your family and friends. Their one of a kind pumpkin patch and festival will begin on Saturday, October 6th and will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 8 pm through October 28th. Admission is only $10 per vehicle, per day, with no limit to the amount of passengers in the vehicle, and will include access to the farm with the following:

• Live music by The Jeremy and Andrea Mix all day.
• Food trucks: Southern Hill Eatery, Twisted PlatesBauer-BQPeru Power Food Truck, and Willy Ts Crab Shack. Serving from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm.

• Their pumpkin patch (please note that it is not a u-pick pumpkin patch) with a variety of beautiful and unique pumpkins of all sizes and colors, Indian corn, gourds and more for purchase. Southern Hill Farms provides a complimentary pumpkin ‘holding’ area for your purchased pumpkins while you stay and play.
• Complimentary hayrides will be available around the farm.
• Bring the feeling of fall on the farm home with unique products, all made in the Southern Hill Market. Peruse handmade lotions, sugar scrubs, lip balms and bar soaps. Enjoy the scents of the season with hand poured candles. Unfiltered, local raw honey is for purchase as well as organic pure maple syrup and more of your favorite Southern Hill Farms merchandise.
• Enjoy their famous hot and delicious apple cider donuts, blueberry lemonade, frozen and hot apple cider, blueberry cobbler, pumpkin muffins and more from the vintage Airstream turned bakery, Southern Hill Sweets.
• Southern Hill Farm grounds include a beautiful rooftop deck, covered playground for children, covered barns with picnic tables and clean, convenient permanent restrooms.
• Yard games include life-sized Jenga, bean bag toss, Connect Four, footballs, soccer balls and more. There is no fee to use the yard games.

Please note that Schofield Road is a Lake County clay road. Southern Hill Farms is a working farm and does not have a paved parking lot, you will be parking and walking in grass areas. St. Luke's Concert Series: Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra

The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Eric Jacobsen, and featuring guest pianist, Gabriela Martinez, performs “Schumann and Schumann.” This family-friendly program of classics is presented by  St. Luke’s Concert Series, which is celebrating 25 years of offering a full season of concerts from September through April, with free admission and parking, as its gift to the community.
